The road that leads from the main gate to Sibani Main Lodge and to Sibani Glamping Site, is a gravel road of no more than 4km. We would not recommend driving a vehicle with lowered suspension, but vehicles with standard height will reach us easily, being careful to settle on a driving speed that suits their vehicle and does not exceed 30km/h (as per Reserve rules).

SIBANI does not accept walk-ins, and pre-booking is necessary for entry.

Accommodation bookings

  • Sibani requires a 25% deposit payment immediately after an accommodation booking is made. An accommodation booking cannot be confirmed and secured without a deposit payment received in Sibani’s bank account. The remaining amount for accommodation may be settled on site upon check in at Sibani Lodge.

Activity bookings

  • Stay-over guests who pre-booked activities with Sibani, will be required to make payment towards their activities at time of check in.
Day visitors who pre-booked activities are required to make 100% pre-payment to confirm and secure their activity bookings.

Guests are advised to familiarize themselves with Sibani’s cancellation policy for accommodation and activity bookings before making a booking.

Sibani Lodge and Sibani Glamping site are situated in the Mount Savannah Game Reserve in the Cradle of Humankind. We need to adhere to the reserve’s rules, which prohibit guests from self-drive and hiking within the game reserve. Guests are welcome to stroll around the residential area in the game reserve, but it’s not a hiking trail per se.

Day guests may visit the restaurant, swimming pool and spa at Sibani Main Lodge, but only by pre-booking and pre-payment of activities and/or confirmed reservation at the restaurant. Duration of the use of the swimming pool may be restricted. Day guests are prohibited from bringing along their own food and beverages.

Sibani accommodation only offers one room type with self-catering facilities i.e. Luxury Villa at Sibani Glamping site. The Luxury Villa has a complete kitchen (excluding stove) and an outside braai. Breakfast is still included in the room rate of the Luxury Villa and is served at Sibani Main Lodge, 3.7km from the Sibani Glamping site and Luxury Villa.

Our other accommodation types do not offer self-catering facilities, and although the cottages offer bar fridges, there are no cooking/food warming facilities in any of the accommodation types, except at the Luxury Villa by the Sibani Glamping site.

Cottages and Safari Living Units have small refrigerators. The Luxury Villa at the Glamping site has a complete kitchen. Sibani Glamping tents do not have refrigerators, but ice is sold at Sibani for chilling purposes.

Sibani accommodation does not have in-room televisions. There is a large television at the main lodge which may be enjoyed by all in-house guests. There is wifi available at the main lodge accommodation and by October 2025, the Glamping site will also have access to wifi.

None of Sibani’s accommodation options offer private pools, but all in-house guests are welcome to enjoy the outdoor swimming pool at the main lodge. The Standard, Superior and Luxury Cottages near the Main Lodge have in-room fireplaces. The Luxury Villa at the Glamping site has a fireplace.

Outside guests may join in-house guests at Sibani restaurant, but only by pre-booking and paying the necessary deposit to confirm their restaurant reservation. When the restaurant closes, the outside guests will be required to exit the property and may not visit the in-house guests at their Sibani accommodation units.

Sibani Lodge does not have a function hall, however, we can host smaller private functions in our restaurant. This would be possible if guests reserve the main lodge, together with all the accommodation near the main lodge. The restaurant cannot be reserved for a nighttime function without booking the accommodation in the designated area as well.

As the restaurant is situated at Sibani Main Lodge and breakfast is served at the Main Lodge, we urge guests to arrive with their own transport and to use their own transport for travelling between the Glamping site and the Main Lodge (3.7km in one direction).

We do not offer transfers between the Main Lodge and Glamping site as a general service and Sibani staff only travel between the 2 sites once or twice a day.

We may be able to assist with the odd transfer between Main Lodge and Glamping site if our daily operations allow it, but kindly note that there will be a fee involved.
